Story Of Change

Hafiza is a 4-year-old girl. Her father is a driver, and her mother works as a glass-breaking labourer.

When Hafiza was enrolled in the Creche, she was initially shy, and her attendance was not regular. After observing this, the teachers contacted her parents and found out that her father spent most of the family income on alcohol, and the conflict at home caused her to miss the Creche. Through home visits and counselling, the teachers made her father aware of the negative impact of his behaviour on the child’s well-being and development.

The teachers also gave her special guidance and care, encouraging her to interact and express herself. Gradually, Hafiza began to speak, communicate with other children, and participate in activities. Seeing this positive change, her parents also ensured that she went to the Creche every day.

Hafiza has shown significant improvement. She now has excellent drawing skills, can sing rhymes, and recognise colours, fruits, and the alphabet. She also actively participates in activities that develop fine motor skills. Hafiza responds well in storytelling classes and enjoys clay activities
